Intel’s AI PC Acceleration Program: Empowering Developers and Hardware Manufacturers

In order to facilitate the connection between independent hardware and software providers and Intel’s capabilities, the firm announced the AI PC Acceleration Program in October 2023. The business unveiled two additional projects under the overarching program on Tuesday. The AI PC Developer Program is the initial initiative, and it is targeted at software developers. An additional initiative will be added to the program for independent hardware makers. The producer of PC chips thinks the training will help the developers become more proficient in creating tools for the AI PC age and would also help them have a deeper grasp of Intel’s environment.

The company’s AI PC Acceleration Program has been expanded, and its new focus is on making it easier for software developers to use breakthrough AI technologies at scale. Software developers and suppliers will have access to Intel’s tools, processes, AI-deployment frameworks, and developer kits with Intel Core Ultra processors.

For the chipmaker’s AI PCs, Intel will assist independent hardware manufacturers in setting up, optimizing, and enabling their technology. Partners that meet the requirements will have access to Intel’s Open Labs, where they may get technical and co-engineering help at an early stage in the development of their hardware solutions and platform. The programs are intended to function as a platform for learning as well as a collaboration between hardware makers and developers to produce solutions for Intel.

According to the business, 150 hardware providers from all around the world have already been added to the AI PC Acceleration Program. Those who are interested can register to participate and receive further information on the website. Along with this, Intel stated that it plans to use Intel Core Ultra processors across 230 designs from 12 global original equipment manufacturers to deliver more than 300 AI-accelerated capabilities to market by 2024.

Zoom Workplace: Enhancing Collaboration with AI-Powered Productivity Solutions

Zoom Workplace is a new platform that the well-known video conferencing software Zoom introduced on Monday. According to the business, Zoom Workplace is an AI-powered platform designed to enhance intra- and cross-team collaboration and expedite workspace communication. The platform for video calls is making use of AI Companion, which will also be getting additional functionality. Along with redesigning the overall Meetings experience, the new platform will also provide more features to Team Chat. Zoom released a new software earlier this year for the Apple Vision Pro that enhances the immersion of virtual meetings.

“Zoom Workplace brings communication, employee engagement, spaces, and productivity solutions together on a single platform with Zoom AI Companion capabilities woven throughout,” the official Zoom account said on X, formerly known as Twitter, announcing the new feature set. A video showcasing a few of the platform’s recently added capabilities was also posted in the article.

The firm went into further detail about the capabilities that consumers may anticipate seeing with the launch of Zoom Workplace in a blog post. According to the business, the platform’s main advantage is a unified interface for collaboration and communication that would “create productivity gains and reduce silos.” Users will see that the AI Companion is integrated to allow well-known capabilities including email drafts, chat composition, and meeting summaries. Additionally, Zoom is launching a new feature called Ask AI Companion, which will allow users to assign simple chores to the assistant and ask it questions. It will “select third-party applications” and utilize data from the entire platform to respond to inquiries.

Additionally, there has been a revamp of the pre-call, in-call, and post-call meeting experiences overall. With calendar functionality and a comprehensive view that displays the complete meeting lifecycle along with all the files and information shared before to and during the meeting, Zoom has launched a new Meetings tab. Additionally, the meeting interface has been overhauled with four different color themes, a multi-speaker view that highlights the current speakers, and a reduced toolbar.

Additionally, Team Chat is being developed into a fully functional collaborative area rather than just a tool for communication. For convenience, users will be able to access resources, whiteboards, and assets connected to channels in a single view. They will also be able to use these tools and talk at the same time.

Zoom is combining Zoom Workplace with its other offerings, including Zoom Phone, Workvivo, its employee engagement platform, and Zoom Rooms. Additionally, there are some new enhancements to Zoom Rooms, the communication tool for hybrid meetings. The business intends to implement smart name tags, which will simply affix a name tag on each in-office participant rather than placing them in individual boxes.

April will see the launching of the Zoom Workplace, albeit no specific deployment date has been given. The suite will be provided to its premium members at no additional cost, according to the business. Zoom Pro, the platform’s most economical premium package, costs Rs. 13,200 annually.
